My scarf is coming along slowly and is looking pretty good! I have been knitting this while I watch my little 2 yr old eat his breakfast and lunch, which can take quite a while.. great for knitting! I'm getting much better at continental knitting and slowly getting faster! I am so glad I persevered, it is much quicker! Hopefully, I will get this scarf finished before winter is over! :)
There are loads more creative people over at our creative spaces...
Gosh there's a lot of stitches on that needle! No wonder it's taking a while. What a thick and luxurious scarf it will be though!
ReplyDeleteTwo great looking scarves! And I hear you about the length of time it takes a two year old to eat. Cohen hops up from the table a hundred times and each time I ask if he is finished he says 'NO!', even if he doesn't eat another bite. :)
ReplyDeleteOoh, the teal scarf for your grandma is gorgeous! And I love the extra punch the cream stripe gives it.
ReplyDeleteLovely scarves!!
ReplyDeleteThere's something about winter that makes you want to get out the knitting needles! :)
I just love these scarves!
ReplyDeleteAnother girl after my own heart!

Well done you - and I love the colour palette you've chosen for your own scarf!

I love your nana's scarf. I don't know how to crochet yet, maybe one day. And I love pink and chocolates together, it's going to be a beautiful scarf.
ReplyDeleteOhhhh Gran is going to LOVE the green scarf. Awesome job !!!
ReplyDeleteThe cream stripe is perfect, your gran is going to love it! Well done!
ReplyDeleteI love the look of knitting but even though I tried twice to learn, just didn't take off with it. Crocheting seems so much easier to me even though after so many years I am still a novice. Happy birthday to your grandma. The crocheted scarf is very pretty ... and looks like something even I could do. :) Have a great day. Tammy
ReplyDeleteI couldn't! Continentally knit, I mean. The therapeutic value of knitting yarn with sticks went flying out the window and even though I finished a whole garment I vowed Never Again. (sigh). Loving the scarfery...
ReplyDeleteOoh! Both of these are just flawless... Keep on knitting that fine scarfs you've been working so long on. Can't wait to see it! Btw I'm considering to get the "Mostly Mittens" book and try out knitting myself this fall... Have you heard about this book? Do you know if it's any good?
ReplyDeleteboth scarves are looking great :) i knit with continental method and its quite good :)
ReplyDeleteThank you everyone... I know my grandma is going to love it :)
ReplyDeleteHalina - I know nothing about the Mostly mittens book but looks really good and quite challenging too :)
She's sure to love it, and I like the cream stripe at either end. Can't beat stripes of all kinds.
ReplyDeleteWhat can;t you do? :) She is going to love it.
ReplyDeletewhat lucky recipients :) have a lovely weekend.
ReplyDeleteJust beautiful. That second scarf looks so soft I want to roll in it...
ReplyDeleteLOVE this scarf - the colour and white band is perfect!
ReplyDeleteOh so you taught yourself continental knitting for this? And it's quicker than 'normal' knitting? Might have to investigate.
