Today is the
handprinted: a fabric swap deadline... phew I made it! I have been very busy over the weekend, screen printing the two remaining fat quarters.
fat quarter no. 3 - bold flowers
I really wanted to do a bright bold flower design and I'm really happy with how it turned out! I decided to screen print the flower petals and use a stamp for the center, to add a bit of texture!

The flowers are screen printed on linen and I love how it makes the print looks a bit vintage! I almost don't want to give it away, but I made sure I screen printed a bit extra for me :)

fat quarter no. 4 - chevron - grey and red
For the last fat quarter I screen printed the
chevron design in red and grey, as it seemed to be quite popular in the comments in my last post :)

I have really enjoyed screen printing for this fabric swap and it was fun to experiment a bit too! Now all I have to do is pack them up and send them off to their new homes... hope the recipients like them :)
Hope you are having a great Monday!
lamina, these are gorgeous!! I really like the flower print, and wow on the level of precision, too. It looks like you had some fun making these!
ReplyDeleteThese are perfect! Oh, I really want to do something like this and join a swap! Maybe I'll put that book you recommended on my wishlist for Christmas and try it out then! Thank you for the tip.
ReplyDeleteSo fantastic! You've got a lucky swap partner!
ReplyDeleteThey look great! Just got mine off today too. It's been fun, though I'm glad they're out the door finally, so I can get onto something else now!
ReplyDeleteLove, love the poppy one -it is gorgous
ReplyDeleteUsing the stamp in the flower centre was a real stroke of genius, the texture is a great foil and complement for the solid bright of the petals. And you must be insane to have tackled another chevron, but it good looks were a great reward for the insanity ;)
ReplyDeletetoo clever. I especially like the flower :)
ReplyDeleteInsanely amazing!! I am blown away at the level of professional printing/stamping.
ReplyDeleteWere you stressing with every stamp placement? I don't think I could handle that.
Well done!
Lovely to see your process.
ReplyDeleteHappy Tuesday.
Love the chevron print. Agree it's good to see the process.
ReplyDeleteThat chevron print is amazing! Is there no end to your creativity and brilliance!?
