my creative space: more pouches

I think the pouch bug has bit me bad! I LOVE making them! I had an idea for a pouch using my feather arrow screen print! I screen printed the design on some lovely natural coloured linen/cotton fabric in raspberry and gunmetal... love those colours together!

Then I got busy sewing up the pouches! Gunmetal arrows on one side and raspberry on the other! My first attempt didn't work out... arrows all over the place, not lining up! A shocking bit of sewing... no photo's of that one! Always good to have a practice one, I say :)

I love how they have turned out! Not sure if I like the flat pouch or sit up pouch best?

Apologies for the lack of light photo's... it's been a bit dark and rainy around here lately... winter is definitely here... brrrrrrr!

Hope you are having a great creative week!
There are lots of creative people over at my creative space...

  3. Love the design and colourways........Can't beat linen for a great look.

Both pouches look well made, of course the 'sit up' pouch photographs alot easier....

  4. They look amazing! Your fabric design works so well with them. I like the one sitting up best too, but both are great!

  5. These are gorgeous! The print works so well as a pouch. I guess the print is shown off the best on the flat purse, but my favourite is the sit up one (... I think).

  6. What a great print, Lamina! Works well as both a flat and a stand-up pouch! It' supposed to be summer here - dark and rainy too!!

  7. Lamina, you're a champ.

I'm very curious to know what you're using all the pouches for! Can you share? :)

  8. These look fab - I would have both options :) one for coins, one for small make up bits perhaps.. or maybe to store my marbles so I dont lose them haha!

  9. Oooo, they are gorgeous! I had to giggle, it is nice to see I am not the only person addicted to sewing zippered pouches/bags. I have been addicted to making them for 18 months now, if not longer. We have so many, they get used all the time. Yours looks wonderful in your very own fabric, that is special!

  11. Oh these are fab. Can't believe you screenprinted it, the pattern looks so neat and not at all hand-made. I always associate screenprinting with high school art and dodgy t-shirts but this is something else!

  12. Gorgeous screen prints, love them both. Pouches are cute, sit up is probably my preference! But both good:) nx

  14. The print suits the pouch design very well. I like the standing-up pouch best, personally. :)

  15. I like them both...it all depends upon what's going into the pouch! Great job, Lamina.
