Back to screen printing! Gosh... it is so nice to do a bit of screen printing again... I just love it! I decided to screen print my "home sweet home" tea towel in some new colours (a gift for a friend). I had lots of fun mixing up some new colours, lime yellow and dusty grey... great colours together!

I went looking for my stencils and discovered I had lost the flower stencil and had to re-cut them out again... bummer!

I am so do happy with how it turned out... bright and fresh! It's amazing what a change of colour can do to a design!

Hope you are having a great creative week!
There are loads more creative people over at our creative spaces...
Love it! Great colours. Yes it is very wet isn't it?! We are on flood watch for our river.
ReplyDeleteThanks Trudi!
DeleteOh dear... Hope you guys don't get flooded!!!
Beautiful! These letters look absolutely flawless. Can't even begin to imagine how hard that must be to cut out perfectly. I remember the ones you did in pink, and I was just as astonished how well they turned out. Something to add to your forthcoming etsy-shop I presume? :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Anna, I have had a lot of practice cutting stencils out :)
DeleteWhere/how did you learn to stencil screenprint? The class I signed up for got cancelled...so I'm probably going to end up teaching myself...
ReplyDeleteLove the lime green--so cheery!
I did a short course at the Sydney Community College about 2 years ago... Loved it! Pity your class got cancelled! If you have any questions I am happy to help where I can :)

ReplyDeleteOh lamina, I really love this! Have you ever considered setting up a shop? How did you do the lettering? Jamie has his first birthday in a few weeks as well and I haven't done anything for it yet!
ReplyDeleteRonnie xo
Thanks Ronnie, Yes I am looking into setting up a an online shop - probably won't happen for a little while though!
DeleteI designed the lettering myself and the cut stencils out for screen printing!
Wow Jamie is nearly one... :)
Do you cut all of those stencils out by hand?
ReplyDeleteYes... all my screen printing stencils are cut out by hand... I'm getting good at it :)
